01 October - 31 December
Collecting míscaros (wild mushrooms) is a traditional nature activity carried out between the months of October and early December in the village of Barranha, parish of Eirado, municipality of Aguiar da Beira.
This "Village of Portugal" has as its predominant species the "yellow musk", much appreciated in regional gastronomy and by visitors who, at this time, come to collect it, which is often unrestrained. In this experience with local collectors, it is also possible to collect cepas/boletus, tortulhos, sanchas, among other edible species. The activity also allows participants to enjoy local gastronomy, namely the typical rice de muscaros, and take home the harvested miscaros and the gastronomic recipe.
