"Bolo Rei" Apple Cake
Ingredients
Apple Bravo of Esmolfe PDO
"Bolo Rei" cake dough
Apple jam
Almonds
Sugar syrup
Icing sugar
Preparation
1.
Prepare a traditional "Bolo Rei" Cake dough.
2.
Roll out the dough on the work surface.
3.
Add apple jam to the dough already rolled out.
4.
Add a mixture of chopped apple and almonds.
5.
Roll up the dough and shape into a "bolo rei" cake.
6.
Brush with egg and cut with scissors or a knife.
7.
Garnish with almonds.
8.
Bake at 180º for 30 minutes.
9.
Brush with sugar syrup and sprinkle with icing sugar.
